Our Data Lab on October 6th 2025, from 9 to 11, at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin
Last Thursday, we set up our association machine in front of Nordbahnhof station, in the open air, in the middle of the city. Surrounded by concrete, traffic lights, and tram tracks - a stark contrast to the Museum of Natural History. And the people? They rush past, needing to catch a train or simply not wanting to be approached.
The smells were the same as those that had already evoked associations in the museum, and once again many exciting memories, images, and stories emerged. Sometimes just a few keywords, sometimes longer stories: clearing tables while working in a restaurant, the painting that should have been sold years ago, childhood memories of Chausseestraße, or the significance of the museum in one's own life.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, took a look, and participated!
Data Lab on October 6: Discovering patterns together:
Would you like to learn more about what emerged on the scrolls and discover themes and motifs together? Then come to the next Data Lab! There, we will take a look at what patterns emerge in the answers and what the data reveals about nature, emotions, and time.
Everyone is welcome to join the discussion—no prior knowledge is required.

Our Data Lab on July 7th 2025 at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin
At our last User Lab in front of the Museum of Natural History, we gathered many new and exciting perspectives: What memories or associations do certain smells evoke? What role do personal experiences play in this? And where do we discover commonalities? We would now like to evaluate, reflect on, and further develop these diverse impressions together. On Monday, July 7, at 9 a.m., we cordially invite you to our Data Lab to look at the results together. Would you like to join us? Then please send us a message.
we look forward to seeing you!

Our Data Lab on April 7th 2025 at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin
“Nature is already colorful and unfinished; it is a project in growth. It is not ‘covered’ or artificial. Instead of painting nature and turning it into a picture, I want to feel like I am part of it.” This is what a visitor fed into our association machine last Friday. We had set it up in the museum to talk to people about nature knowledge based on sensory stimuli. Next Monday, April 7, we will look at the results in our Data Lab at 9 a.m. here at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. Would you like to join us? Then feel free to send us a message! We look forward to seeing you!
